I'm team captain of Team Survivor San Diego and have been paddling with them for about 1 1/2 years.

I am a three year survivor. I have been interested in the rowing club of breast cancer survivors out of DC but, I haven't joined yet due to the commute to DC. I just read the article about the dragon boat teams in the Sun's Health section with great interest. I am a breast cancer survivor (diagnosed 8 months ago at 41) and am very interested in team sports that can assist in recovery (someone had suggested dragon boat racing to me a few months ago but I didn't know a club existed in Baltimore until I read the article).
Physically, I have no challenges (I had a lumpectomy with no lymph node involvement) and I have always loved the water. I would really just like to find a community of survivors who are working towards a positive goal.
Please let me know the best way to connect to a team of survivors.
