Membership Benefits

Dragon boating, which is the second fastest growing sport in the world, is on its way to becoming firmly established as a recreational and competitive team sport in Maryland. The Baltimore Dragon Boat club offers individuals (age 14 and older) the chance represent our city in local, regional and national festivals and regattas. All levels of paddlers are welcome.

Membership Season & Location


The Baltimore Dragon Boat Club's paddling season begins in early April and ends in mid-October. However, club-sponsored social gatherings will be held year round. Each week, club members will be able to paddle together on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Boats are docked at the Tide Point Marina located at 1040 Hull Street in Baltimore. Parking is free.

Your membership in the Baltimore Dragon Boat Club entitles you to the following benefits:

  • Access to the harbor, dragon boats, equipment and trained coaches
  • Increased knowledge of Dragon Boating through formal instruction of technique, drills and mental/physical preparatiom
  • Great endurance, strength training and overall fitness enhancement
  • Opportunity to learn how to steer a dragon boat

Membership Fees & Address

  • Annual Membership - $100.00 [After July 1, 2010 - membership only $50.00 for 1/2 year]
  • Pay As You Go - $5 per paddling session (only entitles you to paddling sessions, not other membership benefits)
